New Jersey Association for Jazz Education

Past Presidents

Please note that our professional organization has gone through several affiliation changes over the years: During the years 1969 - 1989, we were a state affiliate of the National Association for Jazz Education (NJ-NAJE). From 1989 - 2007, our parent organization became the International Association for Jazz Education (NJ-IAJE). IAJE declared bankruptcy in 2008, and our Board of Directors approved a motion to become one of the first stand-alone jazz education organizations in the country. We are now known as the New Jersey Association for Jazz Education (NJAJE), and are not formally affiliated with any national jazz education organization.
